These terms apply to the Pathway app and this website, provided by Emerge Labs, LLC (“we”, “us”). By using Pathway you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Pathway is
Pathway is an independent study aid for the civics portion of the U.S. naturalization test. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or any government agency.
Not legal or immigration advice
Pathway does not provide legal or immigration advice and is not a substitute for an attorney or an accredited representative. Nothing in the app guarantees that you will pass the naturalization test or that your application will be approved.
Accuracy
Questions and answers are based on materials published by USCIS. Some answers, such as the names of office holders, change over time. We work to keep them current, but we cannot promise the app is free of errors or always up to date. Before your interview, check the official materials at uscis.gov/citizenship.
Purchases
The daily questions are free. Practice tests are unlocked with a single in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Payment is handled by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can restore a purchase on a new device using the same Apple Account.
Ads
Extra questions can be earned by choosing to watch an ad. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content.
Acceptable use
Please do not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
Our content
The civics questions and official answers are U.S. government works. The app’s design, software, and other text belong to Emerge Labs, LLC.
Disclaimer and limit of liability
Pathway is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Emerge Labs, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the past twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Pathway after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA.
